Work Trip to Seattle
Saturday, July 26th, 2008So, I got to to go to Seattle for work. It was fun. Here are some pictures from the trip.
So as the caption says I got to go to the Seattle Temple. It was really neat seeing as how Jonathan served his mission in Seattle. It was fun to go through a session where he spent so much time. It was a beautiful temple. Unfortunately they were doing construction on the steeple so I wasn’t able to get any really good overall pictures. This one was from behind the temple.
All of the above pictures were taken around the temple. It really was very beautiful. I took a bunch of pictures of the flowers because they reminded me so much of my Grandma. When she and my Grandpa served missions in both Utah and Dallas we wrote each other and she would always send me back pictures of the flowers. I know she loves them! If you want to see more pictures you can to go my families website. If you go to family and then to Bekah & Jonathan you can check out the pictures from this work trip. There is a link to the site on the side of this page. =)
I got really picture happy while I was in Seattle. We went to a really great seafood restaurant off of a pier in Olympia. The restaurant was called Anthony’s and I had some of the freshest planked salmon I have ever had in my life. I know that if my family reads this they are going to wonder if it is really their daughter talking since I have always been known to hate seafood, but in Seattle it is different. The fish is fresh and delicious! It hasn’t been frozen for an extended period of time and isn’t nearly as fishy as this stuff we get in Arizona, or even what we had in Texas or Oklahoma. It is to die for!!! Anyway, after our dinner we walked around on the pier and I took these pictures.
In the upper right hand corner of the photo below you will see the capital building. Talk about it being on a hill. Anyway, it was a beautiful day! I think the high on this particular day was 80. The 2 following days it didn’t get above 75. Man, I wish we could move there right now! I hate being patient!
And I loved all of the boats. Jonathan wants a sailboat so bad! I couldn’t help but think of him when I saw so many of them for sale!
Ok, enough pictures from the exact same place. Sorry guys. I told you I got picture happy. It is just so beautiful there I can’t get enough of it. Anyway, so that was all of the pier of that one place. Again there are more pictures. If you want to see more go to the same site I talked about before. =)
The picture above was just hilarious. I almost got gonorrhea for my husband. One of the stores we went to had these little stuffed animals that had been made to look like microbes. A nerd like myself thought they were hilarious. Other microbes sold there are Typhoid Fever, bad breath, the common cold and many others. The last night there we went to Seattle, and walked around The Pike Street Public Market. It was a lot of fun. I ate more fish and took a ton more pictures from the Seattle pier on the other side of the street. Anyway, so that was my exciting trip to Seattle!
